North Korea Says It's All Our Fault
Because we violated an agreement to deliver fuel oil and build a nuclear power plant. I believe what they're saying is they have an entitlement to any kind of weapon they want, including nuclear. I Am Constantly Amazed
When I read reports about the early life of people like sniper Lee Malvo and the Chechen gangster, Barayev. Check this quote from Foxnews' web site:
"He was a tender boy, and was a good student," Zara Satsieva, a neighbor of Barayev's in Argun, told NTV Friday from the rundown halls of the apartment house. "I can't say anything bad about him."
And here's a quote from Malvo's real father, Leslie Malvo:
"He was a nice kid so I don't know how he got mixed up in this," Malvo told The Associated Press at a street corner near his home in Kingston's working-class Waltham Park neighborhood.

They warped from tender boy and nice kid into monsters. What the hell happened? Society? Parents? Genetics? God only knows.

Russian Standoff Ends
Seven hundred were freed but over ninety killed when Russian special forces stormed the theater. Movsar Barayev, the so-called leader of this bunch of killers, was himself killed in the operation. Barayev is depicted more as a ruthless gangster than a devotee of Islam.

Is the teenage sniper's real name. No matter what you call this demon, there's a host of very serious charges awaiting him and his so called step-father, John Allen Muhammed. The states of Alabama, Virginia, and Maryland are all filing capital murder charges. Malvo will be tried as an adult...but will any of them have to balls to give him the death penalty?

Senator Wellstone and Family
Died earlier today in a plane crash. The news websites are reporting that the King Air they were in crashed near Evereth, MN in bad weather. Wellstone, his wife, daughter, three aides and the two pilots were all killed. This is close to the situation in Missouri when the governor was running for the senate. No way to tell how it will play out because someone has to be appointed within just a few days.

I Was Reading
that the official dead in Australia is ninety four. The whole country is petrified that there will be more attacks against Ozzies in Bali as backlash after Indonesian authorities cracked down on local terrorist organizations. This whole affair has dropped off the screens in the U.S., especially after the sniper story took over the headlines.

Were They Just Stupid?
Or did they think they were invincible. After a three week killing spree, the sniper pair were caught at a roadside rest stop...sleeping no less. Publicity did them in: A truck driver saw their car and called 911. Fifteen minutes later, FBI and Maryland state troopers swarmed them. The awful total is ten shot dead on the spot and three wounded. Their 1990 Chevrolet Caprice was the most chilling part, though. These monsters from hell had modified the back seat to fold down so they could shoot out through two holes in the trunk lid. Ballistics testing has shown the Bushmaster 223 rifle found in the car is the same gun used for 11 of the shootings. Now they're headed for the gurney with straps and needles.

At Last
People in Maryland, Virginia, and DC can breath. There were two shooters, one a seventeen year old kid, ostensibly the stepson of one John Allen Muhammed AKA John Allen Williams. The seventeen year old is a Jamaican citizen named John Lee Malvo. Muhammed is an ex-GI who, the Army says, was stationed at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, Washington and from reports I read, has sympathy for terrorists. They state of Maryland has the death penalty. Guess where the indictments are going to come down.

Now The Russians
Terrorists in Moscow have commandeered a theater with over seven hundred people inside. They're threatening to blow up the whole thing if the Russians don't pull out of Chechnya. They've already killed a woman and reportedly have explosives stashed all over the place including on their bodies and the bodies of innocents. This isn't the first time that Islamic Chechen scum have massacred innocent people. This a bad situation that will probably only get worse.

Black Republicans Pissed
Condoleezza Rice tells it like it should be told: "Everybody should be able to debate views, but I don't need Harry Belafonte to tell me what it means to be black." And then there's Jesse "The Mouth" Jackson chiming in his 0.5 cents worth: "Powell is not on our team". Problem is, the racist Democrats can't stand to see anybody succeed, black or otherwise.

Talk About Having A Bad Day
Not a good idea to be an illegal alian, drive a white mini-van, and pull up to a certain telephone booth in Virginia. It took 30 police cars and a fleet of SWAT vans to capture this guy. Now he's being deported and the sniper is still on the loose.
