We Missed Bill

but not Claudette. Lots of damage along the Texas coast, especially from the west end of Galveston Island through Port O'Connor. The worst thing that happened at our house was the Plumeria blew over and broke a limb. In the past this has proven to actually be a boon because we just plug the limb into some dirt and voila, a new tree grows. It's not quite that easy, I'm afraid, for all the people along the coast who lost their homes, possessions, and businesses. It was fortunate, though, that only two lives were lost to the storm. Both of them were inland around the city of Victoria. It'll be a while before life goes back to normal.
